Curators preparing to sell tickets for a workshop, class, supper club, salon, or community experience.
I want to run my first paid event and understand what must be ready.
Paid events require more proof than free events
When an attendee pays, they are not only joining an event. They are trusting the host, the logistics, and the platform. Before you open checkout, make the event specific enough that a stranger understands the value.
A strong paid page says what the attendee gets, who it is for, what is included, what is not included, how many spots are available, and what happens if plans change.
Launch your first paid event
Complete your curator profile
Add display name, public URL, avatar, bio, and timezone. Paid buyers need to know who is hosting.
Confirm paid ticket availability
Open Settings > Subscription to confirm Pro status, then open Settings > Payouts to confirm Stripe readiness before relying on checkout.
Connect Stripe payouts
Use the hosted Stripe Connect flow for identity, tax, and bank details. HereNow should only show account status and readiness, not collect bank data directly.
Create or edit the event
Use AI or a template to create the event page. Make the paid offer clear in the title, description, agenda, included materials, and refund expectations.
Add paid tickets
Set ticket name, price, currency, quantity, max per order, sale window, status, and a short ticket description.
Publish after checks pass
Preview the page, confirm payout readiness, confirm the ticket is active, and test the public registration path before broad promotion.
Paid ticket settings
Write buyer expectations into the page
A paid event page should remove uncertainty before checkout. Include what is included in the ticket, what attendees should bring, arrival time, refund or transfer expectations, accessibility notes, and how you will communicate changes.
If the event includes food, materials, physical intensity, age fit, language, or weather dependency, mention it before someone pays.
