Publish safeguard

The event remains private until you review the details and explicitly ask Codex to publish.

Ask HereNow.events to change anything…

Idea to draft

Natural-language event creation

You stay in control

No publish action without confirmation

Your events only

Access follows your HereNow.events permissions

Built for real hosting work

Less clicking. More creating, refining, and hosting.

HereNow.events gives Codex focused tools for the parts of event work that benefit most from conversation.

Start with one sentence

Describe the gathering you have in mind. HereNow.events turns it into an editable event proposal with copy, structure, and a visual direction.

Refine it in conversation

Change the title, timing, capacity, location, description, agenda, or visibility without rebuilding the event from scratch.

Publish on your signal

Every new event starts as a draft. Codex shows what will become public and publishes only after your explicit confirmation.

Stay close to your audience

Review registration totals and attendee status for events you manage, with contact details protected unless they are genuinely needed.

One simple workflow

Describe. Review. Publish.

Codex handles the structured work while HereNow.events keeps the event lifecycle, permissions, and publishing safeguards in one place.

01

Describe

Tell Codex what you want to host, in the language you naturally use.

02

Review

Fill any missing details and adjust the draft through conversation.

03

Publish

Confirm the final event and receive a HereNow.events link ready to share.

Designed for trust

Helpful by default. Careful when it matters.

The plugin separates reading, writing, publishing, and registration access so every action stays aligned with the permission you granted.

Drafts before public pages

Creation and publishing are two separate actions.

Scoped access

OAuth grants only the capabilities you approve during connection.

Private attendee fields stay private

Contact details and custom answers are hidden unless explicitly requested.

Questions

What to know before you start.

Is HereNow.events available in the official plugin directory?

Not yet. You can install it directly from the official HereNow.events GitHub repository using the command on this page. The plugin connects to the same secure HereNow.events service through OAuth.

Will the plugin publish an event automatically?

No. New events are created as drafts. Publishing is a separate action and requires an explicit confirmation in the current conversation.

What can the plugin access?

Only the HereNow.events permissions you approve during OAuth connection, such as reading your events, editing events, generating drafts, or reading registrations for events you manage.

How is registration data handled?

Registration contact details and custom form answers are hidden by default. They are included only when you explicitly need them for operating your event.

Do I need to create an Agent Token?

No. The Codex plugin uses OAuth, so you sign in and approve access in the browser. Agent Tokens remain available separately for CLI tools and unattended automation.

Do I need to restart Codex?

Not for the standard setup. Open a new task after running the command; your existing tasks can stay open. If an older desktop build does not refresh the plugin immediately, restart later when it is convenient.
